The stainless steel nozzle supplied with the AP dredge was too bulky for my intended area. Most gold is in rather shallow water, deep inside the thousands of crevices. The gold source is about 300 meters upstream from the hills. This 1 km stretch of river has been heavily prospected. My first task was to build a functional venturi or infinity jet.

Another tri jet,non chambered and not flaired was made by Dlke for many years prior to Bobs passing RIP as a GREAT person,engineer,manufacturer and father.

I live in Iowa and the gold here is only glacier deposits, flour gold size. An infinity jet would be much more difficult for a DIYer to make than a conventional power jet so, that alone is a major disadvantage

Power Jet Gold Dredge. A Power Jet is more efficient because there is a shorter pressure hose from the pump and therefore less friction losses. The Power Jet enters the suction line just before the sluice, which means the gravel is being pulled up the hose rather than pushed by a suction nozzle. This can help prevent blockages.
