Paddy Processing Mills in India: An Analysis
A study finding, in Bangladesh by Baqui [19] depicted that the parboiled paddy gets better recovery ratio than that of nonparboiled. For instances, the Engleberg (large) type (Huller in our study) of mills produce 60 per cent to 65 per cent of polished rice of nonparboiled paddy and 65 per cent to 68 per cent by parboiled paddy of the same mills.
